Overview of the webinar

With the high cost of turnover and the minimal number of qualified applicants available, fine tuning your staffing strategies and practices is a critical time saver, risk reduction, and will lead to a successful experience. Because employees are the backbone of the organization, keeping that backbone strong and straight requires assuring quality applicants are recruited, hired, and retained.

The first step is to fully understand the true cost of turnover and how that affects the company. Next, after your recruiting practices have attracted quality applicants affording you to select the best fit new hire, the onboarding process is a critical first step in employee retention efforts. Developing a staffing strategy with a clear onboarding process that is effective and compliant will produce cost-savings and profitable results.

This presentation covers staffing strategies from the beginning of an employee’s engagement with your company. This orientation period begins the onboarding process that should be streamlined, welcoming, and personable. Areas that will be reviewed include discussing why standardization, including written processes with checklists, are valuable tools and how to do so, why consistency is critical, and the importance of offering a complete picture to all employees. We will also review compliance practices during the whole life of the process in order to help you decrease perceptions of discrimination and potential litigation results. Other areas that will be reviewed include terminology, roles and responsibilities, cost of employee turnover, and a dissected review of the onboarding process.

With this resource-loaded, fast-paced, and relatable course, you will receive tools, tips, and techniques to use to successfully lead your team. By the conclusion of this training, you will have actionable items and tools to implement the learning objectives and achieve sustained success.
